Mostly Dry Ink

Weekly Note for Week Ending 6/13/25

This week's been a little slow in terms of progression. It felt like it took forever to get to Friday, but we've arrived! How was your week? As usual, here's what's caught my attention this week.

This week it was Apple's World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), and they introduced a whole lot of updates to their platform of operating systems. They've given it a glassier look with the introduction of Liquid Glass!

Of course, everyone has their opinion of whether or not this is a good design choice or a bad one. Apple has billions of users, so they're not going to please everyone. In fact, it reminded me of the quote from Stephen King:

“If you write (or create) something, about 20% of people are not going to like it. No matter what you do, you can’t please everyone.” - Stephen King

If you're attending a protest or thinking about it, Mental Floss has some great tips you really should consider to help keep you safe.

I hadn't planned on getting a Switch 2, and in fact, I hadn't even bothered to look it up or learn anything about it at all prior to launch. Now seeing the videos makes me want to have one... #YOLO amirite?

My favorite (currently) set of eyeglasses are from Pair. Their Love Wins collection of toppers is perfect for Pride month, and their other toppers are just as...eye catching. Sorry. I'll show myself out.

Confession of the Week: I'm exhausted and mentally not really there today. This post is not going to be great this week.

Shoutout of the Week: Andy Carolan - a talented artist and designer who creates these fantastic avatars for social media and other uses. He's great to work with, and his product is excelllent!
